This Father’s Day, we’re turning the spotlight on Dad – and turning Sliema into a real-life adventure map!
Grab your sneakers, gather the family, and get ready for The Plaza’s Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt: a fun, fast-paced morning of trivia, teamwork, and memory-making.

🧭 How It Works:

• Join us at The Plaza, Bisazza Street, on Saturday 14th June at 10:30am.
• You’ll receive your first clue card on arrival.
• Head to each of the 4 Sliema landmarks, scan the QR code, and answer a trivia question correctly to unlock your next clue.
• At the final stop, it’s a race back to The Plaza entrance — the first family to return wins the grand prize!
• Expect a whole lot of laughs, local history, and quality time with your crew, PLUS a guest appearance by Sliema’s mayor John PIllow!

🕵️ Clues & Challenges

From historic landmarks to modern icons, teams will follow a trail of clues leading across Sliema. Every clue unlocks a location, every location hides a challenge.

 

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Fun for All Ages

The scavenger hunt is designed to be family-friendly, encouraging teamwork, curiosity and movement. Staggered starts will ensure fair play for families with younger children or pushchairs.

 

📸 Memory-Making Moments

Expect plenty of photo opportunities, chances to laugh and bond, and a morning that celebrates what makes dads real-life superheroes.

 

🎁 Dads Get the Goodies

Each dad will be handed a Survivor Pack full of summer must-haves — because Dad’s got this!

 

📍 Start & Finish at The Plaza

You’ll begin and end your journey at The Plaza’s front entrance on Bisazza Street, where we’ll track your time and celebrate the winners.

 

⏱️ Timing & Duration

The hunt takes about 1.5 hours, depending on how well you know your trivia (or how fast you Google).

 

🌞 What to Bring

We’ll provide a bottle of water per participant, but please bring extras, along with hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, and anything else you need to beat the heat.

 

📝 Terms & Conditions – Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt

1. Restrictions

This event is strictly for families. All children must be under 18 years of age. Only Parents, children and extended family team members will be permitted to participate.

All children must be accompanied by a parent and supervised throughout.

2. Participants must be 18+ to register and lead the team

Children may join the activity as part of the family unit, but the team leader must be an adult parent or legal guardian.

3. Fair Play for All Ages

To ensure fairness, families with younger children or pushchairs will be given a staggered start. Please let us know your children’s ages when booking.

4. Winner & Tie-Breakers

The first family to reach the finish line with all trivia completed correctly will be declared the winner.

In the case of a tie, a tie-breaker challenge will be held — this may be a trivia question about The Plaza or a sudden-death mini task.

5. Runner-Up Recognition

If another team arrives within one minute of the first-place finishers, they will receive a €200 Plaza voucher as a runner-up prize.

6. Prize Terms – Stay-cation

The 2-night family stay-cation includes breakfast and dinner for 2 adults and children under 12. The prize is subject to hotel availability and booking conditions.

7. Hydration & Heat Safety

Each participant will receive 1 bottle of water, but we strongly advise families to bring extra water.

Due to the summer heat, please bring sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

8. Walking-Only Route

This is a walking scavenger hunt only. No bikes, scooters, skateboards, or other vehicles allowed. Any use of such transport will lead to disqualification.

9. Behaviour & Fair Play

All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow teams, staff, and the public. Any form of cheating, inappropriate behaviour, or tampering will result in disqualification.

10. Parental Supervision & Responsibility

Children must be supervised at all times. Teams are responsible for their own safety and behaviour during the event.

11. Liability Waiver

Participation is at your own risk. The Plaza and affiliated partners will not be held responsible for injuries, personal loss, or damage incurred during the event.

12. Photography & Media Consent

Photos and videos will be taken during the event. By joining, you agree to their use in future promotional material. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform us in advance.

13. Bookings & Refund Policy

Bookings are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled (e.g., due to weather). In such cases, we will aim to reschedule.
